AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB vs RX 480 8GB — The Division

Does 4GB make a difference? It does, but not by that much. In this video I compared both the standard RX 480 4GB edition with the RX 480 8GB edition to see if the extra 4GB made a difference with The Division at 1080p with the «Ultra» preset and V-Sync off.

The Processor I used was the Intel Core I5 6400. Whilst the 8GB version did run at a few more FPS, the 4GB version still performed very well at these settings and is an absolutely fantastic budget gaming graphics card.

Specs:
Intel Core i5 6400 3.3GHz Processor
8GB 2133MHz DDR3 Ram
Gigabyte GA-Z170- HD3 Motherboard
750w Corsair PSU
Windows 10 Pro
Radeon RX 480 4GB GDDR5 (XFX)
Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5 (Sapphire)

Thanks for watching 🙂

the 8 GB is more about future proofing for example in doom you have to have over 4gb of VRAM to be able to play at nightmare quality option
