Don, great tutorial I was able to setup (3) RPi-v3 had no issues with the code compiling. But currently having connection problems with Coin Magi Pool. I saw a couple of other posts about this same issue I'm having, but did't see a resolution. I have the software pointing to: $ ./minerd -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp:// -u xxxxxx.xxxxx -p xxxxxxxx
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] Starting Stratum on stratum+tcp://
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] Binding thread 0 to cpu 0
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] Binding thread 2 to cpu 2
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] Binding thread 3 to cpu 3
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] Binding thread 1 to cpu 1
    [2017-12-28 11:02:22] 4 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm.
[2017-12-28 11:02:22] Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to port 3334: Connection refused
I setup the Coin Magi — Wallet, with no issues. It is currently Synchronizing, Does the fact that my wallet is not synchronized with the network have anything to do with my workers not being able to connect to the network?

Thanks man! I had 4-6 Pi's doing nothing (except collecting dust). Now they are mining XMG! I started with the latest Raspbian Lite as you suggested, but today I tried Pi 64 OS. Getting from 4-5 kHash to 6-7 kHash just by using different OS.

Extra step in you instructions are installing nano 😉 (sudo apt-get nano)

    But that's about it.

    Thanks again man, much appreciated

I tried this until I'm blue in the face… nothing seems to work. I am using a Vim2 Max. VIM 2 is a 64 bit OS and runs in aarch64 mode, not 32bit. Any help would be most appreciated. Also is there another way to mine other alt coins like monero? Thanks

Great tutorial. The installation works on my RPi2, but when trying run the command for mining, it gives an authentication error and can' t figure out:
I replace the 'xxxxxx' with my login and pasword. Or is it a worker login and password to fill in?
    pi@raspi:~ $ ./minerd -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp:// -u xxxxxx -p xxxxxxxx

Very nice! Thx ! Working well on my Pi3 and also on NanoPI!
If you use a 64bit OS ( instead of the 32 bit rasbiane image) on you Pi3, you can doubble the hash rate… (!!! just tested)
PS: You can also mining the coins here that way: Boolberry (BBR) ; Cryptonite (XCN) ; DigitalNote (XDN) ; Monero (XMR)

Is it still possible to mine this coin? I see the price is now $1.38 per coin. Or has the difficulty level increased too much.

Hey man love what your doing. i soon hope to setup SBC devices broadcasting multiple nodes and i want to incorporate something like this on a solar/battery setup.

  • 20.01.2018 в 1:04 пп

and how the coins go to my walletn ? i didnt have linked it ? and something else happens on the rasp ? Binding 0 — 3 to cpu 0 — 3 and after them "4 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm." after this i mean

Is the combination of wallet and tinkerboard what does the trick or is the reward highly pool depended? I am getting around 9 kh/s but after about 16h I am only in the 0.00x coins reward area, so nowhere near 1 coin

8:23 My raspberry pi is an early model B. It uses the 700 MHz single-core ARM1176JZF-S. Do you know what the mcpu setting would need to be. Perhaps -mcpu=1176JZF-S

I have an Orange Pi Lite running Lubuntu. I tried to install Minergate software on it. When i tried to open the file I downloaded, it said there was an error, saying wrong architecture. Apparently the software was set for AMD 64 bit. I wish I could use another OS for this OPi, but Lubuntu is the only OS that would boot after installing to the microSD card (besides libre elec). I know the OPi is crap and I'm about to get rid of it, but if there is one mining program I can run on it, I might consider keeping it. After tinkering with Linux for over ten years, I still know little to nothing about it. Anything you can provide would be appreciated.

Can u put a pre updated os with the program in the disciption with a 1m video explaining how to adust it per person. And in the future ppl will just use the main tutorial. I mean for the ppl who watch the vid within a few days they should get a few perks, right?

this video is out of dat efor example sence you made this video the coin is 1.29 not .23 so will pies generate money?
also would it be worth getting a more expensive sbc that can but run off of the same amount of power?

thanks for the video novatech, stumbled here looking for related crypto stuff.. Setup no problem on the RPi2 (running other stuff as well). I will be looking at other SBCs given the stats you show in the video, thanks again!

Im trying to mine magi coin on a 6 node Raspberry Pi cluster… I was not able to get it to work using this method.

  • 29.01.2018 в 11:31 дп

You should use checkinstall program to generate .deb files so you can upload to other RPi's
Cool video, thanks for your video

    Hey, nice Video.

I want to start my ./minerd , but what exactly does i have to fill in, to connect my magi coin wallet?

For testing purposes i try it on two virtual machines.

Dude, this could get people into Picoding with some better form factors and chipsets pushing the market forward. RaspberryPi is versatile, But I do think USB Scrypt Miners are much more effiecient than SBC
