Those lights on the graphics are a load tachometer, its nothing to do with power draw.

Nice vid bro. Just a quick tip, see if you can dual mine with the card. Im currently running a couple of R9 Fury Xs and for some reason i get more MH when i dual mine.
For example: 2 cards minine Eth = 57MH ETH
2 cards Mining ETH and DCR = 61MH ETH and 1.6GH DCR
Ive got no idea why this is, but its interesting. I use Nicehash Legacy 18.1 running the claymore miner to get them rates. Hopefully this can improver that profit ratio some more 🙂

nice vid! any tips to get above 40mh? I'm running into core/mem clock dips which impacts the mh. I know cooling isn't great but any other settings have you messed with?

No that's not using the USB3 protocol, it's using the USB3 cabling and connector but the PCIe protocol and probably even electrical signal. Some cards use HDMI cables to carry the PCIe bus. It just needs to be a bunch of high bandwidth twisted pair cables. It might even work over an RJ45 CAT5e cable.

I don't know why you bother using Vega for mining, you would be better off using a 480 or 1070 mentioning that they are more efficient in terms of power usage, I was hoping Vega would only be used for people who would want to game but, anyway to piss off the gaming community I guess.

You should just abandon the Vega idea, so many more profitable cards to mine with. For $300.00 you can get a GTX 1060 SSC overclock it +1000 memory and power limit it to 50% and hit 25MH and only draw 70 watts X2 would be $600 invested for 50MH and only 140 watts, you can see how this option is much more efficient and cheaper when scaling up.

I don't understand why gamers are so upset about people mining with this card. I just bought an N64 last week, it looks fucking amazing and there are plenty available. I don't even see where you put the game cartridge into this graphics card smh how's it even supposed to play games??

Its for people who cant get adecent job else where. It just digital currency. Myself i dont think money is there to grab. Its the game they play. To sell more video cards, then it will crash. Edison should strictly on this type of abusing power.
